Ok, I know this is a long shot, but it’s definitely worth a try…………… Hello.. My name is Linda and I sincerely hope that you take the time to read my ad. I was employed as food and beverage manager for Yosemite National Park for about three years until I ruptured a disk in my back a year ago July… After the doctor informed my employer that I would have to have surgery and would be unable to work for at least 8 months, I was conveniently laid off. At the time my son, (who is 15 years old) and I were living in employee housing inside the park. When I was laid off, not only did I lose my housing (we had two days to move) but I also lost my insurance and am now waiting on a workers comp settlement before I can have surgery…

Having nowhere else to go, My son and I lived in various motels in Fresno Ca.. It didn’t take long to go through my savings (motel living is quite expensive) which leads me to where I am today., Homeless………… I have a 20 year old daughter who is an accountant for Uncle Sam. She joined the army last Oct and is currently stationed in Colorado Springs, Co. Due to the fact that I was no longer able to financially care for my son, he is now living with my daughter and her husband. I myself did not have the heart to move in with them as well, as I never want to be a burden to my children. My daughter just received the orders that her unit will deploy to Irac in Sep… All I want out of life is to be able to move to Colorado to spend time with my daughter before she goes and to be a mother to my son…
